Collection Instructions:
1. Ensure that complete clot formation has taken place prior to centrifugation.
2. Avoid grossly hemolyzed specimens.
3. If transport time is 24 hours, send specimen frozen in a plastic vial.

Reference Values

0.0-5.0 ng/mL
Ninety-seven percent of healthy, non-smoking subjects may be
expected to have CEA values of 5.0 ng/mL. If patient has
previously been monitored by another method, comparison study
should be performed.
