Specimen Requirements

Submit only 1 of the following specimens:

Specimen Type: Plasma or serum 

Container/Tube: Green top (lithium heparin gel), or SST

Specimen Volume: 2 mL

Collection Instructions:
1. Fasting (10-12 hours) (water only).
2. If possible, discontinue any drugs for 3 to 4 weeks prior to testing.
3. Avoid icteric or lipemic specimen.
4. Label specimen appropriately (plasma or serum).
