Collection Instructions: No preservative.

Glucose: negative
Bilirubin: negative
Ketones: negative
Protein: negative

Specific gravity: 1.001-1.035

pH: 5-8.5 (both the normal and the abnormal pH range)

Urobilinogen: <2.0 mg/dL
Blood: negative
Nitrite: negative
Leukocyte esterase: negative

MICROSCOPIC (if indicated)

Abnormal results on any of the following tests will reflex a microscopic exam: abnormal color (color other than yellow, straw, or dark yellow), abnormal clarity (clarity other than clear), protein, nitrite, blood, leukocyte esterase

WBC: 0-3

RBC: 0-3

Bacteria: 0
HYALINE  CASTS: 0-2/LPF are generally considered normal, however may also be present in renal disease
All other cast categories: 0
NORMAL CRYSTALS
In acidic urine: amorphous urates, uric acid, calcium oxalate

In alkaline urine: amorphous phosphates, triple phosphates, calcium carbonate, ammonium biurate, and calcium phosphate
