Submit only 1 of the following specimens:
Specimen Type: Plasma
Container/Tube: Green top (lithium heparin gel)
Specimen Volume: 3 mL
Collection Instructions:
1. Fasting-overnight (12-14 hours) (water only). If possible, discontinue any drugs for 3 to 4 weeks prior to testing. Patient must not consume any alcohol for 72 hours before specimen is drawn. Patient should be on a stable diet for 3 weeks prior to test.
2. Avoid draw tubes containing glycerol-lubricated stoppers.
3. Avoid icteric or lipemic specimen.
4. Label specimen appropriately (plasma).

Container/Tube: Red top or serum gel
Specimen Volume: 3 mL
